This past summer I learned how to make crazy quilt blocks. It was very enjoyable. When I was laying them out to prepare the quilt, they appeared to have a juvenile theme. I needed a free-motion quilt pattern fitting the look.
As I looked for quilting ideas, I found a great one in this quilting book that really spoke “children” to me. It’s a funky straight-line triangle pattern.
I first practiced because when you want to go one way, you actually have to take the triangle the opposite way. I also used variegated thread of primary colors. It sure is fun!
