Learning Scrap Crazy Quilting

This weekend I’m going to be demonstrating my treadle and hand crank at our local museum, Pioneer Village Museum in Cameron, WI, for their annual Heritage Days Celebration.

I needed something to work on and really want to use up some of my scrap collection. I’m going to work on learning how to crazy quilt on foundation fabric. Most folks use muslin, but I didn’t have any of that extra, so I found a similar weight fabric in a light color to use. I got a bunch of squares cut out. I cut 7-inch squares, supposedly they will shrink up a bit when you sew the pieces on. I can then trim them to 6-1/2 or 6 if needed.

Here’s the website where I found great instructions:

Foundation Piecing – Muslin Foundation

I’ll post pictures next week. đŸ˜€
